Sat 19th Workshop.

This Saturday 19th April, we will be holding a 4 hour workshop in our new space, 'Maryhill Central Hall on Maryhill Road from 12-4pm. This will be a great opportunity for beginners as over the course of the afternoon we will cover all of the fundamental elements of the game and for experienced capoeiristas as you'll get to train for a healthy amount of time. Weather dependant we'd like to take the Roda outside after 4pm and then we are heading to Steve's for the party. Look forward to seeing you there!

Angoleiros do Sertao

Thought you might like to see the Design I've sent off to Claudio, I still haven't heard weather he likes it or not but I'm assuming no news is good news and if he does I believe this will be one of the T-shirt designs he'll be bringing over.

Ola!
I'm afraid that myself and Emma will not be joining you all for training tonight due a serious case of runny noses and general feelings of grimmness. I hope you all enjoy yourselves though, meet @ The Vic as usual where you're all then going down to the MacLellan Galleries, same story for Wednesday. I'll see you then!

public art performance

shameless plug here I know. If any of you fancy a free bit of performance art come the West Bank Quadrant behind Offshore Cafe, Gibson St, this Friday 22nd at 8pm. From Offshore walk down the lane beside the river, you will see a candlelit gate. There will a Bedouin tent in the back-court, go inside and enjoy.

& so... bring a dish was most successful, training was good today, lovely space & I think we all got home safe too!

Well, here's our shiny new pre-website site - I'm going to email everyone on the list with all the log-in details & hopefully we can all put posts up on here & share photos & links, along with events that are on, ours & other groups to visit & maybe we fancy going abroad for a weekend workshop somewhere?? In summer perhaps?

Alongside this, its a good place to check before we come to class, just about the details - new room/ different time/ dish-bringing etc...

& on that note, we don't think we will have the usual space this Wednesday BUT we can have a night of music & a small roda at mine & Nick's - again I will mail the address. (check here to see if this is still so)

Keep well x

*Some photos would be nice - if you have any already, post them up & if not we'll take some soon.
